get system information in Fortigate Firewall :-

1- Use this command to display CPU usage, memory usage, average system load, and up time.

Enter the command :- get system performance status

2- Use this command to see the system status like- software version, operational mode, HA, serial number, system  part number, system host name, cluster status and cluster up time & system time etc.

3- Use this command to display, which top services are using high CPU.

4- Use this command to see what the firewall has seen kinds of mix traffics.

5- Use this command to see the set SNMP thresholds for CPU and Memory utilization.

Enter the command :- get system snmp sysinfo

5- Use this command to see the buffer size, The buffer size is limited and if the buffer is full the old logs will be overwritten.

  • Link state
  • Speed
  • Duplex
  • Packet and Byte counters

7- Use this command to see the total number of sessions for the current VDOM
