Matcha @ Asian Art Museum

Went to the first Matcha event at the Asian Art Museum last week, the event being Japanese Hip-Hop (and it don’t stop). Since the museum is currently also running a few other exhibits, such as Tezuka: The Marvel of Manga, it was a good opportunity to see some cool art. And by cool, I mean dirty. And by dirty, I mean “omg! wtf?”

Ok, so I’m not so into the anime and manga stuff, but you can’t go wrong with a DJ and a few beers, which made for a fun Thursday evening. Plus, where else are going to see the freshest interpretive dance moves this side of the Bay? The bonus for me was getting a new hairstyle inspiration from the statue dude above :)

Overall it’s all a fun time and only costs five bucks. Next one is July 5th.
